 The O category is set aside for aliens of "Extraordinary" ability in the science, arts, education, business or athletics, certain aliens accompanying or assisting those aliens and their family members.
There are different types of visas issued depending upon who is applying for it.
They are as follows:
- O1 A Visa: is issued to aliens of "Extraordinary" ability in the science, arts, education, business or athletics
- O1 B Visa: is issued to aliens who are working the Television Industry like Actor and actresses.
- O2 Visa: is issued to Supporting Staff of the O1 or O2 Visa holders,
- O3 Visa: is issued for Spouse and children of the O1 or O2 Visa holders.
Person who has received a Nobel Prize or any award which is internationally recognized can apply for O1 A visa.
Person who has critical skills in the field of Television or who are athletes can apply for O1 B Visa.
Person may apply at the U.S. consulate abroad, or he can change is status is he is in the U.S.
Such type of visa need to be filed at least 45 days in advance before the actual event or work starts.
